Each year during July, August and September, Catholic Charities reaches out to supporters to ask for financial support during the months where the needs among programs remains constant, but we often struggle for financial resources.
Dear Friend,
You are the one. You have the ability and power to change a life. You can put a smile on the face of a child who has been neglected, hold the hand of a lonely senior, or comfort a family who has just lost their home.
This year has been a tough one, but we’ve been able to live out the words and actions of Jesus; we’ve cared for the least among us with empathy and compassion. I also hope you and your family weather this financial storm too. We pray for you daily and know one thing for sure, God is watching over all of us.
I wanted to let you know that August has again been declared “Catholic Charities Month”. While this is a time of great celebration, it is also a time that we are struggling to figure out how we can best meet the needs of the people at our door, especially the new faces like the recently unemployed or underemployed.
We need your support to help these fragile individuals and families. You are the one who can change a life today. Your gift to our annual Catholic Charities Month Appeal will help us provide help and hope to 60,000 people.
You are the one who can help Catholic Charities assist your neighbor after he loses his job. You are the one who can feed a child in one of our homeless shelters. You are the one who can make sure that the elderly woman who just returned home from the hospital has a safe and clean place to live. Please send a gift today.
Blessings,
Lorri Nagle
Director of Development
P.S. Despite the financial challenges that we are facing, we’re proud to say that 90 cents of every dollar is still used for direct client benefits. |
