“For I was hungry, and you gave me food . . .
What so ever you did for the least of my brothers and sisters,
You did it for me.” Matthew 25:35-41

We can’t feed the hungry in our community without you. Catholic Charities provides nearly 150,000 meals each year to the hungry.  The demand for food seems to be never ending.  Shepherd’s Table, our soup kitchen, feeds nutritious meals to over 24,000 people annually, and our volunteers provide nearly 10,000 hours of service preparing and serving those meals.

We have a special opportunity to raise funds to feed the hungry.  Alan Shawn Feinstein, a philanthropist dedicated to eliminating hunger in our country, has issued Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Joliet a challenge.   The more money raised through this challenge, the more money Mr. Feinstein will donate - and he has one million dollars to give away!

Please send in a donation to feed the hungry before April 30th, 2013. You can charge your gift online: click here to donate now or call Margaret at 815-724-1140 and she can process the transaction for you. Your gift will help feed the hungry in your community.

     Blessings,

Glenn Van Cura, Executive Director

Bless you for your support of Catholic Charities. Together we are doing God’s work – and feeding God’s hungry children!  If you can’t send a gift, please remember those who are hungry in your prayers.
