Dear Friends,
It’s been a tough and exhausting year, and I’m pretty sure it made many of us rethink what is important in our lives. We all made some sacrifices too. Some families managed to survive by cutting back, still others barely held on by a thread.
But some things remained constant like the love of God, and the hope, support, and assistance that Catholic Charities provides in times of desperation and need. We were able to help over 73,000 people last year – almost 15% more than the year before because of your generous support, prayers, and compassion.
We helped Cecelia and her grandchildren by feeding them everyday after she lost her job. We helped Edward by teaching him new skills that landed him a job and soon after, an apartment of his own. We helped Andreas by finding a loving foster family for him while his mom was getting help for an alcohol addiction. And we brightened the day for Sarah, a homebound 82-year-old, who looks forward to her visits from her Senior Companion volunteer and a weekly outing to the grocery store. For every person we were able to help last year, there are at least ten more waiting in the wings this year. They need you too.
We need your help now more than ever. Please consider a gift of $25, $50 or $100 to Catholic Charities so that we may continue to meet the growing demands of those who need us most – the poor, the hungry, the lonely, the confused and the homeless. Your gift today will be the answer to someone’s prayers.
Blessings,

Glenn Van Cura
Executive Director
P.S. Catholic Charities will always be around, but with limited resources we need you to help us do God’s work. Please send your gift today, and know that you, too, are in our prayers.
