Holiday Outreach

Dear Friend,

God gave us the greatest gift ever – his son Jesus Christ. As we celebrate the birth of our savior at Christmas we often take time to reflect on that miracle and express our thankfulness.

Helping the poor is never easy and it often makes you count your own blessings. Last year, we experienced a 60% increase in requests for rent or mortgage assistance and a 7% increase in the number of people living in our homeless shelters. We witnessed a 14% increase in the number of seniors that were rescued through our Elder Abuse and Neglect Program. And we saw a 36% increase in the number of low-income families that came to our Back to School Fairs for free school supplies and medical services. The needs don’t stop there. They just keep growing and that’s why we need your gift today.

We need your help now more than ever. Please consider a gift of $25, $50 or $100 to Catholic Charities in support of the many services we provide to children, families, seniors and other individuals so our work may continue to reach those who need it most – the poor, the hungry, the lonely, the confused and the homeless. We all need a little help sometime and your gift today can be the answer to someone’s prayers.

Blessings,

Kathleen McGowan
Executive Director

P.S. Catholic Charities is continuing to do the best we can with limited resources. Did you know that 90 cents of every dollar directly benefits someone in need?
